What you can expect to learn
As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals – so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen.
Upon completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.
The SSI Enriched Air NITROX course consists of three Academic Sessions (Independent study or in a classroom)
Course equipment requirements
Additionally need Scuba Cylinders with Nitrox and Gas Analyser
*Equipment will be provided by your Dive Centre. We recommend that you should get your own gear once you become a certified diver.
Course prerequisites
Minimum age:
- 10 years old.
Have the following SSI certifications or equivalent from a recognized training agency:
- Referral Diver
Or
- Diving Knowledge Specialty programs may be combined with an Open Water Diver program.
Get started
- Enriched Air Nitrox 32
Complete Academic Sessions 1-3 as outlined in the instructor manual for Enriched Air Nitrox.
Complete the program’s final exam - Enriched Air Nitrox 40
Complete all Academic Sessions as outlined in the instructor manual for Enriched Air Nitrox.
Complete the program’s final exam.
Complete the practical application session outlined in the instructor manual for Enriched Air Nitrox.
